What role does AI play in the review process?
AI-enabled technology may help sort large volumes of records, identify relevant dates, locate recurring terms, compare documentation, structure preliminary timelines, and highlight issues requiring closer review. Its role is supportive. The final analysis is clinician-led, reviewed, and verified against the medical record.
How are findings verified?
Material dates, events, quotations, findings, terminology, and conclusions are checked against the original medical documentation before they are incorporated into the final analysis. This helps reduce the risk of relying on incomplete, misread, duplicated, or unsupported information.
Does S.L. Scott Advisors determine liability or legal strategy?
No. S.L. Scott Advisors provides clinical consulting and medical-record analysis. Legal conclusions, filings, litigation decisions, and strategy remain the responsibility of retaining counsel.
Does S.L. Scott Advisors provide expert witnesses?
No. S.L. Scott Advisors does not locate, recruit, recommend, or provide expert witnesses. The firm provides clinical consulting, medical-record review, chronology support, and medical-legal analysis for attorneys.
How are medical records protected?
Medical records are handled only through secure systems that operate under signed Business Associate Agreements. Those tools do not train on client data, and nothing goes into my work product unless I have verified it against the original record. Records are used solely for the engagement and kept confidential.
